Guided Path was created from lived experience and a deep understanding of how complex and overwhelming a cancer diagnosis can be. After facing his own rare, advanced-stage cancer diagnosis, Founder Rich Boozell recognized that while medical care is essential, many patients and families are left to navigate the practical, emotional, and logistical challenges of the journey on their own. Guided Path was built to help fill that gap—offering compassionate, non-clinical navigation, resource coordination, and peer support that brings clarity and connection during an uncertain time. Today, the organization has a growing national focus on supporting individuals diagnosed with appendix cancer and Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP), while continuing to provide practical guidance and support to cancer patients and families across East Tennessee.
