FAQ
Who does your organization serve?
Our focus is on serving individuals that have been diagnosed with an appendix cancer leading to Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP), along with their families and caregivers. Our services are non-clinical and designed to complement medical care—helping individuals and families manage the logistical, emotional, and practical challenges that often come with these rare cancer diagnoses.
We also support cancer patients across East Tennessee by helping to identify and connect them with programs and resources in the community—so they don’t have to figure it all out on their own.
How do I request support?
Referrals most often come from a patient’s oncologist or medical care team, but individuals and families are also welcome to reach out to us directly. At this time, the primary eligibility requirement for support is the cancer diagnosis.
Is support limited to a specific region?
We serve individuals and families nationwide who are navigating appendix cancer and Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP).
We support cancer patients located within the 24 counties of east Tennessee: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, Washington
How much financial support can I request?
Financial support will be based on the individual needs of each client enrolled. Our program outreach will be based on funding availability; therefore the number of individuals served will be limited to ensure clients receive the highest quality of care. Additional smaller financial support may be available for those seeking aid.
What documentation will I need?
We will require a statement of diagnosis from your doctor indicating an appendix cancer / PMP diagnosis. As you continue through the program we may ask for additional information.
